International Day of People with Disabilities – My voice counts!

International Day of People with Disabilities, internationally marked on December 3rd, aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society. Living with a disability can be challenging.

Disability and chronic illnesses come in various forms and are often invisible making it difficult for people with disabilities to enter society. We know that inclusion is a perfect driver for changes and we aim to educate individuals and society and boost public awareness on these very important topics.

On this important day, Jamba announced its new awareness campaign,  My voice counts!

According to the UN, realizing the rights of persons with disabilities is central to the promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development – to leave no one behind. The COVID-19 outbreak affects all segments of the population and is particularly detrimental to members of those social groups in the most vulnerable situations, continuing to affect populations, including people with disabilities and chronic illnesses. This situation addresses the current challenges and barriers faced by persons with disabilities, as well as requiring commitment and creativity!

We invite anyone with a disability to contact us, join our campaign, and share What inclusion means to you. We want to make sure that the voices of people with disabilities are heard!

At the same time, everyone else is welcome to join our campaign and in this way including a wide range of people with different backgrounds and from different positions, we will show the power of diversity and awareness when it comes to an inclusive society. If you think the same as we do and would like to join our campaign you can do it by answering the question What can everyone do in order to support inclusion and inclusive society?

You can send your answers on e-mail connect@jambacareers.at together with your name and surname. The organization/company you work for and your photo are optional.
