FemPreneurship Academy 2.0: From idea to reality

In 2021 Jamba has successfully organized the first FemPreneurship Academy during which we trained a fantastic and diverse group of female entrepreneurs with disabilities.

Their ideas varied from creating fashionable and beautiful orthopedic shoes that are improving the quality of life of their users to professional social networks for female experts. In the second edition of the FemPreneurship Academy, we continue with our 6-week entrepreneurial program. Its mission is to equip women with disabilities and/or mothers of children with disabilities based in Vienna with the knowledge and mentoring needed to develop a revolutionary idea.

By enrolling in this program, every participant would have the opportunity to dive deeper into the following topics:

– Standard & Social Entrepreneurship

– Value Proposition

– Business Model & Go-To-Market Strategy

– Marketing & Sales

– Finance & Fundraising

– Pitching & Presentation Skills

– Demo Day – Final Pitching Event in front of a Jury

What else do we bring in this edition of the FemPreneurship Academy?

With the growing threat of climate change, many, including small and large businesses, have become involved in finding new ways to preserve our planet. It has never been more important to use green business strategies to implement sustainability methods and innovative solutions. Nowadays, the possibilities for integrating green thinking are endless, and the potentials and benefits are numerous. In second edition of the FemPreneurship Academy, we will introduce you to methods and steps for maintaining your new start-up, smart and sustainable. We welcome all ideas, but especially the ones that (can) make use of digital tools for reaching UN SDGs.

The whole program and activities will be accessible and tailored according to the needs of the participants, so that all can be included (sign language interpretation, closed captions, accessible materials, etc.). The program will be in German, one module will be held in English and free translation is available for this one. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive cohort of participants, and we encourage women of diverse backgrounds to apply. People with disabilities who are already successful in different fields and/or experienced as trainers will take part in the realization of the academy and will conduct some of the lectures.

FemPreneurship Academy is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Austria and the Vienna Business Agency and is free of charge for all participants.
