Jamba – Career for All gathers experts and enthusiasts for the third time to organize a new edition of its FemPreneurship Academy. This entrepreneurial program specially designed for women with disabilities and chronic illnesses has led to the creation of several innovative business ideas developed during the academy.
With the insights gained during the program, the ideas of our alumni evolved in multiple directions. For example, Tania’s idea expanded towards a platform that empowered herself to become an expert and social entrepreneur. Similarly, Laura’s experience reflects a transition, too; after receiving her first diagnosis, she realized that traditional professional life would no longer suit her, prompting her to embrace new, more flexible work models.
The new academy starts at the end of the October, and will be held over eight weeks, twice a week in the evenings, online. The mission of the program is to equip women with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses in Austria between the ages of 18 and 55, with the knowledge and mentoring needed to successfully develop their idea. By attending our academy, participants gain insights from successful innovators, recognized experts, and trainers who are already experienced in different fields and industry leaders, some of them also with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
By enrolling in this program, every participant would have the opportunity to dive deeper into the following topics:
– Leadership Mindset & Immersion into Entrepreneurship
– Value Proposition
– Business Model & Go-To-Market Strategy
– Marketing & Sales
– Finance & Fundraising
– Legal framework
– Sustainability
– Accessible products and software
– Pitching & Presentation Skills
– Demo Day – Final Pitching Event
What else do we bring in this edition of the FemPreneurship Academy?
In the new edition of the academy, we continue to attach great importance to green and social business strategies, sustainability methods, and innovative solutions. In times of rapid technological progress and constant changes, it is also important to respond to the demands that future entrepreneurs will encounter. For this reason, the program will also be enriched by raising awareness about digital tools and the importance of digital literacy, digital social inclusion, and technological progress.
The whole program and activities will be accessible (and online) and tailored according to the needs of the participants so that all can be equally included. The official language of the academy is German, but the group of trainers includes several English-speaking experts. Translation from English into German will be provided during their sessions. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive cohort of participants, and we encourage women* of all identities and diverse backgrounds to apply. This week we will be accepting applications and mini-interviews will take place next week to ensure that the Academy can offer you the most suitable experience and support for you.
